In a remarkable demonstration of commitment, 100% of Winchester Thurston’s faculty and staff have stepped up with gifts to the Celebrate WT campaign. This is the fourth year in a row that WT employees have embraced the school’s fund raising goals in full force.
“Our faculty and staff show their commitment every day with their talent and creativity, their determination to ensure each student reaches her or his full potential, and their constant work to reflect upon and improve their practice,” says Head of School Gary J. Niels. “I marvel at the fact that they also choose to support WT philanthropically. They truly set an example for our community about the importance of being invested at every level. I’m very grateful for that.”
Nationally, on average, 91% of faculty and staff at independent schools gave charitable donations to their schools in 2012-2013; in Pennsylvania, 77% supported their schools in 2011-2012.
