Honoring teachers with endowment gifts.

In a remarkable demonstration of gratitude, the Class of 2014’s senior gift committee has decided to depart from tradition to make its mark on WT. The Class will designate its gift to Endowment for faculty development.

Committee Chair Ally Siegel said, “Our committee had many great ideas for a gift. However, the idea of having a fund that would support our teachers was something each of us resonated with, and we felt strongly about finding a way to show our appreciation for the significant impact our teachers have made on our education and overall WT experience.”

By raising $5,000 to start a fund in the Endowment, the seniors hope to leave a permanent legacy that says “thank you” to their teachers.

“The committee hopes that the fund will be well received by the WT community—including fellow classmates, parents, and of course, our teachers. We plan to reach our fundraising goal by the end of the school year. To do this, we hope to get the majority of the senior class  involved in working together towards this common goal of raising $5,000 to support faculty professional development.”
